- Maggot Farming Learning Sessions
Participants had the unique opportunity to learn from two experts in the field, Ogwang Morris and Matini Janepher. Ogwang Morris, our esteemed Farm Manager, led practical demonstrations, guiding attendees through the intricacies of maggot farming. Matini Janepher, WIN’s passionate co-founder, shared her insights and expertise, highlighting the benefits and techniques of this innovative agricultural practice. Through their engaging sessions, attendees gained valuable insights and skills that will empower them to pursue maggot farming as a sustainable source of income.
- Exhibitions by Startups:
The event buzzed with excitement as attendees explored exhibitions from three dynamic startups: Mawejje Creations, UGABRUSH by Enoch Muwanguzi, and Okrah. These startups captivated participants with their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with the founders, learn about their products, and gain inspiration for their own entrepreneurial endeavors. The exhibitions offered a glimpse into the thriving local entrepreneurship scene and underscored the importance of supporting small businesses in driving economic growth and innovation.

In a heartfelt ceremony, the Guest of Honor, Ismail Nyanzi, presented awards to five outstanding women champions: Kobusingye Teddy, Neema Grace Ndayisaba, Nabasaayi Hafuswha, Bayiga Jane, and Apio Rehema. These remarkable women were recognized for their dedication, resilience, and extraordinary achievements in maggot farming. These champions will be assisted with financial support to kick-start their farms under the outgrower maggot farming contract model
