Ishimwe Prince, a visionary leader with a remarkable track record, emerged from a Rwandan refugee family in Uganda’s refugee camp, an experience that profoundly influenced his commitment to catalyzing transformative change and prosperity within communities. Co-Founder of the GreenRise Initiative (GRI), Ishimwe has dedicated himself to providing equitable learning opportunities for individuals from all walks of life, firmly believing that education is the key to unlocking opportunities and fostering sustainable progress.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering & Environmental Management at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Ishimwe exemplifies his fervent advocacy for education while integrating technology to address environmental challenges and drive economic thriving in communities.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Ishimwe Prince serves as a Systems and Tech lead, showcasing his commitment to leveraging technology for positive change. His attainment of Education in Digital Literacy Skills Transfer from the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology underscores his proficiency in utilizing technology as a powerful tool for societal advancement.
Beyond academia, Ishimwe has been recognized for his impactful contributions, receiving the prestigious Mastercard Foundation Hanga Ahazaza Initiative award prize from Kigali, Rwanda, in 2023. This accolade further highlights his commitment to driving positive transformation and innovative solutions to societal challenges.
